Rhonda and the Beach Boy & Girls

Rhonda is a super cute tortie girl with none of the famous tortitude. In fact, she is very loving and asks for pets. She is about 9 months old and has definitely lived in a home as someone's pet. Unfortunately, once she got pregnant with the Beach family she was thrown out to fetch for herself and her kittens. Her behavior is indicating that she was not treated very nice even before that. She is not shy but a bit careful and it might be more obvious in the presence of men. We think someone might have been hitting her.

Fortunately, the family found a place in a Lady's yard. The kind Lady was leaving food out for them and made few shelters so they survived the freezing months. The only downside was that the kittens were not socialized at all. We were told that Mom pushed them behind her every time a human showed up. Rhonda was protecting them as much as she possibly could.

Then the neighbor decided it was time to call Animal Control. The unsocialized kittens had no chance there. Mind you, the kitten season started very early and everyone seems to be full already. The kittens would have been sent to euthanasia room on arrival!

A friend of the lady that was feeding Rhonda and kittens is one of our best and kindest supporters and when she reached out with their story we just could not say no.

Our first family of the year is HERE ~ meet Rhonda and the kittens!

The kittens are the little spitfires! They literally fly straight at you and if you attempt to touch them be prepared with first aid kit LOL! We are slowly working with them and were able to touch Toby for the first time yesterday. Hopefully, they will all change their mind about humans, as we are not all bad!

Rhonda is a different story. She was pregnant with a second litter when we got her and is ready to give birth any day now. See why we need to spay? It's not a myth, a cat can get pregnant as soon as he stops nursing.

Rhonda needs a safe and cozy place to have her babies. Would you be able to foster?

We need 3 months for them so that kittens can get their vaccines and be ready for surgeries. And if you decide you want one - we will wave the adoption fee!

Together We CAN give Rhonda & kittens a better life!
